What is the Aikyashree Scholarship?

Higher education is way too costly for common people. Most of them are not able to afford the fees of the different colleges and universities, which leads to a lack of educational and intellectual growth in society. The West Bengal Minority Development Finance Corporation (WBMDFC) established the Aikyashree Scholarship Program. Aikyashree Scholarship 2024 Eligibility

Some of the key eligibility criteria on the basis of which scholarships are provided to students are:

1. West Bengal Pre-Matric Scholarship for SC/ST Students

• The candidate must hold ownership of West Bengal domicile and a primary residence in West Bengal.
• The candidate must be registered in either class ninth or tenth.
• The candidate must be of either SC or ST category.
• The candidate’s family income must not cross Rs. 2 lakh per annum.

2. West Bengal Post-Matric Scholarship

• The candidate must hold ownership of West Bengal domicile and a primary residence in West Bengal.
• The candidate must be registered in Class 11, Class 12, Graduation, or Post Graduation.
• The candidate must belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), or Other Backward Classes (OBC) category.
• The candidate’s family income must be below one lakh rupees per annum for OBCs, two lakh rupees for SCs, and two and a half lakh rupees for STs

3. The Bigyani Kanya Medha Britti Scholarship

• The candidate must hold ownership of West Bengal domicile and a primary residence in West Bengal.
• The candidate must be female, as it is only for female candidates
• The candidate must have passed Class 12 from any educational board.
• The candidate must be pursuing a professional graduation course. A candidate must be enrolled in engineering, medicine, or basic science fields.
• The monthly scholarship received by the student is three thousand rupees per month.

4. Swami Vivekananda Merit cum Means Scholarship (SVMCM)

• The candidate must hold ownership of West Bengal domicile and a primary residence in West Bengal.
• The candidate must be enrolled in Class 11, Class 12, or any professional course.
• The candidate must clear the examination with at least 75% of the merit of the qualifying exam.
• The candidate’s family income must be under 2.5 lakh rupees per year.

5. Hindi Scholarship Scheme, West Bengal

• The candidate must hold ownership of a residence in West Bengal.
• The candidate must belong to a non-Hindi-speaking state.
• The candidate must have qualified for primary, secondary, or graduation with Hindi as a subject.
• The candidate must qualify the relevant exam with 60% merit.

How to Apply for Aikyashree Scholarship?

Follow the given steps below to successfully apply through the Aikyashree application process:

Step – 1: Student Registration

• Visit the official website of Aikyashree Scholarship wbmdfcscholarship.gov.in/
• Click on the New Registration or Student Registration.
• Now fill the student registration form by providing your name, District, Guardians Name, DOB, Mobile Number, Email id and Bank Account Number.
• Now click on Submit and Procced.

Step – 2: Scheme Eligibility

Now students need to submit details like enter your Current Institution Name, Address, Percentage of Marks obtained in the Last Examination, Annual Family Income. Now click on submit.

Step – 3: Registration

After submitting all this information now students get the scholarship name for which you are eligible. students will get a Temporary user ID for your application. Students will get User ID and Password to their mail id.

Step – 4: Student’s Login

Now students need to login to the website by entering User ID and password, now fill the information under the ‘Basic information & Academic Information’ section. Now verify your bank account information.

Step – 5: Final Submit

Now preview your application form and all the details information you already provided. If all the information is correct then submit the application.

Step – 6: Take Print out & Submit for verification

After completing the student of the above steps takes a print out the computer-generated application form. Sign on it and attach the required documents with it. Then submit this application form to the head of your institution for further Aikyashree Scholarship verification.

Aikyashree Scholarship 2024 Amount and Rewards

There are different scholarship amounts for different scholarship categories and education levels. The detailed information is provided below:

• West Bengal Pre-matric Scholarship (Class 9 and 10): Rs. 150-750 per month, plus an Additional Reward of up to Rs. 1000 per year.
• The Bigyani Kanya Medha Britti Scholarship offers a monthly scholarship of Rs. 3000 and a Rs. 2000 annual book grant.
• West Bengal Post-Matric Scholarship (Class 11, 12, Graduation, Post-Graduation): Rs. 160-1200 per month.
• The monthly range is from Rs. 300 to Rs. 1000 under the Hindi Scholarship Scheme.

How to Renew the Aikyashree Scholarship 2024

To renew your WBMDFC scholarship, follow these steps:

• Access the official website, which includes information on all scholarship categories (Pre-Matric, Post-Matric, MCM, TSP, and SVMCM scholarships).
• Select the “Renewal Application” option to open a new window.
• Select the district and confirm by clicking OK in the dialog box that appears.
• Log in with the application ID, date of birth, district, and captcha code. Continue by clicking the Login button.
• Your registered mobile number will receive an OTP. Enter the OTP and click the Submit button.
• There are two options available to you: “Renew Application” and “Withdraw Application.” Click on “Renew Application.”
• Fill out the registration form with your name, date of birth, email address, parent’s name, gender, and religion.
• To proceed, click “Submit and Next.”
• Please include both your previous and current academic information.
• Click “Submit and Next” to proceed.
• Examine and confirm your bank information, including the IFSC code, bank name, branch name, bank account number, and account holder name, as listed in your passbook.
• Check the box that says, ‘I confirm that the bank account details are correct to the best of my knowledge and belief.’
• Continue by clicking “Submit and Next.”
• Along with the form, upload the necessary documents, including the institute verification certificate.
• Click the “Submit and Next” button to finish the application.
• Examine the provided details thoroughly before final submission.
• Tap the “Submit and Lock Renewal Application” button.
• A popup will appear to confirm the accuracy of the details. If everything is correct, click “OK.”
• Obtain a printout of the renewal application by clicking on “Print Renewal Application.”
