(m2-15m-16) can be split into two factors, by splitting its middle term and using the identity (x+a)(x+b)=x2+(a+b)x+ab.

Comparing these two, we get (a+b)=-15 and ab=-16

From the above condition, we can get, a=-16 and b=1

m2-15m-16m-16=m2-15m-16m-16 =m2-16m+m-16m-16 =m(m-16)+1(m-16)m-16 =(m-16)(m+1)m-16 =m+1

Now, for m=2,

 m+1=(2)+1
