    The National Testing Agency (NTA) jointly examines on behalf of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD).

    We all know that JEE is one of the most competitive examinations in India. Nearly 12 lakh candidates appear for this examination every year.

    The examination consists of two parts – JEE Main and JEE Advanced.

    JEE Main is the entrance examination for admission to National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) and Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs).

    JEE Advanced is the examination for admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT).

    Candidates who qualify for JEE Main are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced.

    JEE Mains is a computer-based test that consists of two papers – Paper 1 and Paper 2.

    Paper 1 is for admission to B.Tech courses, and Paper 2 is for admission to B.Arch and B.Planning courses.

    The JEE Mains examination takes place in two slots – Slots 1 and 2. Candidates can attempt any one of the slots.

    The duration of the examination is 3 hours.

    The examination will be in multiple languages, including English, Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Assamese, Kannada, Marathi, Oriya, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.

    Candidates can select the language of their choice when filling out the application form.

    NTA holds the examination twice a year – in April and May (for admission to the academic session starting in July) and October and November (for admission to the academic session beginning in January).

    How many times can we give JEE Mains?

    JEE aspirants often have this question: “The total number of attempts for JEE Mains 2023.” Well, here is the answer. There is no limit to the number of attempts a student can make in the JEE Main exam. However, the student will be allowed to attempt a maximum of three papers in a single attempt.

    As per NTA, the JEE Main 2023 exam will be conducted in two sessions. Students can take the JEE Mains 2023 thrice after passing class 12th in 2023, 2024, and 2025.

    Students seeking admission to NITs, IITs, or IIITs must be aware of the JEE Main 2023 attempts. Doing so helps them prepare for the exam accordingly.

    The IIT JEE exam date 2023: NTA will announce the JEE Main 2023 exam date soon at jeemain.nta.nic.in. According to reports, the examination for JEE Main 2023 will take place in mid-January and in April. As of yet, there is no official confirmation of the JEE Main 2023 exam date.
