Comparing Ratios – Example
Q. Compare the ratios √? and √??
Solution:
√?
√??
The two ratios to be compared are√8 and √19.
As √? × √? = √??,
√9 √22
√8 × √22 = √176 and √9 × √19 = √171
Now, √176 > √171,
Hence, √8 > √19
√9 √22
