How to Find the percentage of a given quantity?
Q. Find 30% of 30.
Solution:
30% of 30 = 30 × 30 = 9.

Q. Haritha has 8 mangoes. 25% of them have been lying around for too long and are rotten. So how many mangoes are rotten?
Solution:
Total number of mangoes = 8
Number of rotten mangoes = 25% of 8
= 25 × 8 = 2.
100
Thus, 2 mangoes out of the 8 are rotten.
