There are five types of pyramids: square, triangular, rectangular, hexagonal, and octagonal.
A square pyramid is a pyramid with a square base. The slant height of a square pyramid is the height of a triangle drawn from the midpoint of one side of the base to the apex of the pyramid.
A triangular pyramid is a pyramid with a triangular base. The slant height of a triangular pyramid is the height of a triangle drawn from the midpoint of one side of the base to the apex of the pyramid.
A rectangular pyramid is a pyramid with a rectangular base. The slant height of a rectangular pyramid is the height of a rectangle drawn from the midpoint of one side of the base to the apex of the pyramid.
