In the previous segment, we learned about the difference between a virtual and real image. In this segment, we will learn about the properties of image formed by a concave mirror.
Concave Mirror
A spherical mirror whose reflecting surface is curved inwards is called a Concave mirror.

Properties of Image formed by a Concave Mirror
We have learnt that a concave mirror can form both real and virtual images. It is the distance of the object from the concave mirror which determines the nature of the image. It is quite interesting to note that not only nature but the other properties of the image like its size and position also depends on the distance of the object from the mirror.
The following table shows how the properties of the image vary according to the position of the object.
