The minerals of soil that entered into the cell wall may selectively enter into the symplast of root at the epidermis or general cortical layers and endodermis. Endodermis is the last check point for the selective passage of mineral into the symplast as it has impermeable belt of casparian strips made of suberin in its radial and transvers walls.
