White Revolution is related to milk production. It was one of the world’s largest dairy development programs. India’s National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) project was launched on 13th January 1970 to make India self-sufficient in terms of milk. India had a deficit in milk, and this revolution allowed India to tackle this deficiency and transform India into the world’s largest milk producer. In this revolution, Cooperative giant Amul played an important role in the completion of the operation, and then the project came to be known as Operation Flood.
