    Solution:

The above present statement is true.
After the independence of India, Kandla was developed as the main port in western India in the 1950s. This port is in the Kachchh district of Gujarat, although according to the Indian Ports Act, 1908, it is currently named Deendayal port. Kandla is the biggest port in our country by the volume of cargo it handles. In 2008-2009, this coast handled almost 72,225 million tonnes of cargo which was its all-time high. In 2015-2016, this port handled around 106 million tonnes of cargo. Kandla Port Special Economic Zone was the first economic zone established in Asia. Kandla is also the first Export Processing Zone in our country.
