    Solution:

Indian Elephants are restricted to hunting and trading.
There once was an abundance of Asian elephants (Elephas maximus) across India, notably in areas such as Punjab and Gujarat, but the population has decreased significantly. A total of 14 Indian states are now home to the four distinct animals of this species. As a Schedule I protected species under Indian wildlife legislation, the elephant has received the most significant possible level of protection. Appendix I of the Convention on International Commerce in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) bans any international commercial trade of the Asian elephant. As a result, anybody caught hunting or dealing with this animal might face a jail sentence of up to seven years and a fine of at least 25000 Indian rupees.
