    Solution:

Humayun was defeated by Sher Khan in Chausa in 1539 and Kanauj in 1540.
After the demise of Babur, Humayun became the second emperor of the Mughal Empire. As per the will of Babur, Humayun divided the inheritance amongst the brothers. Each brother received a province. The ambitions of Humayun's brother, Mirza Kamran, weakened Humayun's cause against the Afghan competitors. Humayun was defeated by Sher Khan in Chausa in 1539 and Kanauj in 1540, because of which he fled to Iran. Humayun received help from Safavid Shah in Iran. In 1555 he recaptured the city of Delhi, but merely a year later, he died in an accident in one of his buildings.
