    Solution:

    The above statement is true.
The series of four wars between the British and the kingdom of Mysore in southern India in the 18th century is known as the Anglo-Mysore War. It took place between 1767 and 1769 AD. Tippu Sultan is the son of Hyder Ali. Tippu actively participated in his father's battles and emerged victorious, declaring himself king. He fought in the Second Anglo-Mysore War when his father, Hyder Ali, died in battle from illness. After his father's death, he continued the Anglo-Mysore War. No one came to help him. He bravely fought the British. Finally, the British signed the Treaty of Mangalore. This treaty benefits both sides. Both sides returned to their captured areas and exchanged prisoners. This treaty increased Tippu's stature. The 3rd Anglo-Mysore War defeated British Tippu and captured half of his kingdom and 330 lakes in cash. This humiliating defeat was too much for Tippu to digest, culminating in the 4th Anglo-Mysore War, which resulted in his defeat and death
