    Solution:

Indentured labor was also termed as Coolie.
Indentured laborers were bonded laborers under contract to work for an employer for a specific period to pay off their passage to a new country. It happened following the abolition of slavery throughout the British Empire in 1833.
Labors from India were taken and transported to many labor-importing colonies of Africa and Asia. As newly free men and women refused to work for low wages on sugar, tea plantations, and rail construction work in the British colonies of West Indies, Fiji, Mauritius, and Ceylon. The reasons like industrial demand, the end of slavery, availability of labor, and escape from poverty for the laborers led to the migration of workers. The descendants of these indentured laborers were called coolie.
