    Solution:

The  two major cities that were under the control of the Chahamanas were Delhi and Ajmer. Prithviraj III was the most well-known Chahamana ruler (1168–1192). He defeated Sultan Muhammad Ghori of Afghanistan in 1191, but fell to him the next year, in 1192. As the Chahamanas' domain expanded, the entire territory under their rule became known as Sapadalaksha. The later Chahamana capitals, Ajaymeru (Ajmer) and Shakambhari, were included (Sambhar). The word eventually spread over the larger region they had conquered. Early mediaeval Indian inscriptions, as well as works by contemporary Muslim historians The Chahamanas had frequent confrontations with their neighbours, particularly the Chalukyas of Gujarat, the Paramaras of Malwa, the Tomaras of Delhi, and the Chandelas of Bundelkhand.
