Solution:
Meerut, Jhansi, and Awadh were places related to the First War of Independence. On May 10, 1857, Meerut saw the beginning of the Indian Rebellion of 1857, also known as the First War of Indian Independence. Despite not being the first revolution against the East India Company, it was the first significant and most widespread uprising. Then in Awadh, the revolt began because of the false accusations of misgovernance by the British. In Jhansi, after the passing of her husband (king Gangadhar Rao), Rani Lakshmibai requested that the East India Company accept Damodar Rao as the legitimate heir to her kingdom. The Company rejected this request. As a result, all of these places rose in revolt.
