    Solution:

Thomas Macaulay saw India as an uncivilized country that needed to be civilized. A Whig politician and British historian, Thomas Babington Macaulay. He favoured making English the only teaching language in all schools, displacing Persian as the official language, and hiring English-speaking Indians as instructors. On the other hand, this resulted in Macaulayism in India and the systematic eradication of conventional Indian educational, occupational, and scientific systems. Macaulay classified the world as a civilized country, with Britain serving as the pinnacle of civilization. He stated, "I believe it is no exaggeration to suggest that all the historical material which has been gathered from all the literature published in the Sanskrit language is less important," in his Minute on Indian Education dated February 1835.
