    Solution:

    Given figure,
    It is given that, a plot is in the form of a rectangle ABCD having semi-circle on   BC, in which AD=28m and AB=60m.
    We have to find the area of the given plot.
    We know that,
    area(a)=base(b)×height(h)  
    Let a r   and a s   be the area of the rectangular and semicircle plot respectively.
    And A   be the total area of the plot.
    Area of rectangular plot is,  a r =60(28) a r =1680  m 2  
    Area of the semicircle plot is,  a s = 1 2 π (14) 2 a s =308  m 2  
    So, the total area of the plot is:
    A= a r + a s A=1680+308 A=1988  m 2  
    Hence, the total area of the plot is 1988  m 2  .
    Therefore, option 1 is correct.
