    Let the diagram of the given situation be,
    Given that the radius of one circle is 7cm  , and length of each side of the squares is 14cm  .
    Thus, the area of the square is,
    = a 2 = (14) 2 =14×14 =196c m 2  
    Now, the area of the circle is given by,
    =π r 2 = 22 7 × (7) 2 =22×7 =154c m 2  
    The area of the shaded region is given by,
