Solution:

Equation of the line passing through $P (1, - 2, 3)$

with dr's (1,4,5) is $\frac{x - 1}{1} = \frac{y + 2}{4} = \frac{z - 3}{5} = t$

$R (t + 1, 4 t - 2, 5 t + 3)$ lies on the plane then t = 1 ,R (2,2,8)

$P Q = 2 P R = 2 \sqrt{1 + 16 + 25} = 2 \sqrt{42}$
