Solution:

$\mathrm{f}:\mathrm{R}\to \mathrm{R} \Rightarrow \mathrm{f}\left(\mathrm{x}\right)=3 \mathrm{x} -4$
f is one-one onto function.
$\therefore$Let                   $\mathrm{y}=3\mathrm{x}-4$
                           $\mathrm{x}=\frac{\mathrm{y}+4}{3}$
Replace $\mathrm{x} \mathrm{by} \mathrm{y}\Rightarrow \mathrm{y}=\frac{\mathrm{x}+4}{3}={\mathrm{f}}^{-1}\left(\mathrm{x}\right)$
