### Solution:

The given statement is true.
Concept- A short story is typically concerned with conveying a specific effect in only one or a few major episodes or scenes.
He was the most amusing boy I'd ever met. Everyone would laugh at his odd jokes, humorous stories, and even the way he acted. His name was Sameer, and he was renowned as the Methodist School's class clown or jokester. He was adored by all. He had friends and had everything a fifteen-year-old boy could want.
He was the most amusing boy I'd ever met. He would make everyone laugh till their stomachs hurt and they would beg him to stop. In the presence of friends and others he knew, he was like this. Sameer, the child famed for his wit and quick-witted remarks, was a great attraction wherever he went. He was also well-liked by his classmates and professors since he never used nasty or snarky retorts. Rather, he converted any occasion, position, or condition into healthy comedy, and even the most serious person sitting there would crack a smile. Everyone wanted to be his friend because of this. Except for his real and close buddy Saurabh, no one knew the anguish hidden behind his pleasant countenance.
Sameer came from a normal home and lived happily with his parents and younger sister. His father was an insurance agent, and his mother was a housewife. He and his sister were both students at a well-known convent school in the city. One day, tragedy overtook their family when Sameer's father lost his job after developing terminal blood cancer.
This was a devastating blow to the family, who were otherwise living a happy and contented existence. Sameer, being the only male member, was responsible for himself, his studies, and his family.
It was a devastating blow that fate had dealt him at such a young age. He perished in a sea of grief and despair. His grandma and mother were concerned about his condition. They consoled, reassured, and talked to him, but nothing helped. He just refused to speak, always wore a solemn expression on his face, and went about his work and studied methodically. His mother saw a psychologist, who informed him of the changes that had occurred in him. The doctor instructed them to bring him to his hospital clinic.
Sameer had to go through the children's ward on his way to the clinic. He peered into the ward and was drawn in by the small children of various ages and sizes. Some were playing, some were sleeping, and some were conversing, but they were all smiling. He was told that they were all cancer patients with only a few days to live. Sameer was stunned into silence, a wide range of emotions flashing across his face. He was clearly warring with himself. His eyes were fixed on the happy, smiling features of the small youngsters.
He let out a big sigh of relief, releasing a flood of suppressed emotions. He was suddenly at ease as if those youngsters had taught him the mantra of happiness. Since then, a new and happier Sameer has risen from the ashes of the sad and grave Sameer. His life's slogan had now become "be happy and make others happy," regardless of the trials and obstacles of life. That is the secret to his being praised and respected by all, and he is also approaching all of his duties with fresh vigor.
Hence, the given statement is true.
