Solution:

let Cost of 1 pants is x
and Cost of 1 shirts is y
According to questions
2x + 3y = 650   …(i)
4x + 2y = 700   …(ii)
multiply eqn (i) by (ii)
4x + 6y = 1300   …(iii)
4x + 2y = 700   …(iv)
On substrating (iii) to (iv)
4y = 600
y = 150
Now put the yalee of y = 150 in eqn (i)
2x + 3y = 650
2x + 3 × 150 = 650
2x + 450 = 650
2x = 650 – 450
2x = 200
x = 100
The Cost of one pant and one shirt
x = 100 Rs
y = 150 Rs
