Besides these, the liver, gallbladder, and pancreas are also part of the digestive tract. The small intestine absorbs almost all the nutrients from the food. Furthermore, the transportation of these nutrients to other parts of the body takes place due to the circulatory system. Also, the special cells across the intestinal lining help in the absorption of nutrients.
