    Long Answer Type Questions

    Question 1:
Describe Ravi’s character in the story.
    Solution:
Ravi was a bright youngster. He was a keen observer with a thorough understanding of history. He was a bit of a tomboy, but he had a fantastic sense of humour. In front of Paati’s eyes, he managed to get milk for the kitten. He also used his wits by giving the beggar the chappals of his music teacher. He was generous and kind, and he remembered the storey of Kama recounted to him by Rukku Manni.

    Question 2:
Compare how the music teacher played the violin with that of Lalli’s.
    Solution:
The violin was played with ease by the music teacher. His notes appeared to float up and then rest flawlessly into the melody’s invisible grooves. His hand gently moved the violin’s stem, producing a delightful melody. Lalli, on the other hand, appeared to be having difficulty with the violin. In her hands, the instrument appeared miserable and helpless. She kept missing the tracks and making a strange noise that startled Mahendran.

    Question 3:
Why was Ravi upset with the elders?
    Solution:
Ravi was enraged with the elders since he had always been advised to be friendly to animals, but everytime he tried, he was met with screams in return.
He’d encountered the same elders who referred to these animals as “filthy monsters.” Rukku Manni had told her of a man named Kama who would give away whatever he had in order to serve others. Ravi had attempted to assist the beggar by giving him the music teacher’s chappals, but Rukku Manni was still enraged.

    Value-Based Questions

    Question 1:
What is the moral of the story, elaborate on it.
    Solution:
The moral of the story is to assist those who are in need. The slippers were much needed by the beggar. His feet were blistered. They did the correct thing because Gopu Mama was able to purchase another pair of slippers, but the beggar was unable to do so due to a lack of funds. We should assist those who are in need. There’s nothing wrong with giving away a little of what we don’t need. Food, clothing, and sweaters should be given to the destitute. That may not seem important to us, yet it could save someone’s life.
