It\u2019s ok to borrow ideas as long as you change them a bit: Stories are not just sequences of events\u2014they have to go somewhere. Any good story begins with a character who wants something in your story. The story tells the character\u2019s journey toward getting what he or she wants. and what he or she does not want. If the instructions say to write the story in 120 to 180 words, then follow the instructions. If your story falls above or below the word count mentioned before, add or trim as needed. Secondly, pay careful attention to the question. What do you want or what should you write about? That&#8217;s up to you. You may like to write a true story, something that happened with you, or may happen with someone whom you know; you might like to write a fantasy, like a ghost story; you might like to write about something exciting, like a rescue. That&#8217;s the fun of story writing: Think properly about what you will write and what will be the gist of the story, especially the first and last paragraphs should be very effective.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"2_Organization\"><\/span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">2. Organization:<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Plan your story carefully. A nice story doesn&#8217;t just take off and go anywhere in any direction. When you are writing a story, whether it is short or long, good organization is essential. Just keep in your mind your story should always have four or five paragraphs, depending on the subject matter, but each paragraph should have its particular topic and advance the story in a specific way. The organization should be like this: A story\u2019s starting should be very interesting, so that reader or listener will get stuck with it, and the end should always be with conclusion or lesson.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"3_Introduction\"><\/span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">3. Who is the main character, and other characters are in the story? When does the story begin? And where does the story begin? Sometimes there is a hint of what and why as well. What are they doing there when the story begins, and why are they doing it? Try to mention something interesting that will hook the reader into wanting to continue reading.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">4. Main Part:<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> <\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">This is the part where the action happens. In the second and third paragraphs, there is mostly a buildup to the main event in the fourth and last paragraphs in the main part. Remember, in each paragraph, and you must have to add one specific thing that should happen that advances the story along.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"5_Conclusion\"><\/span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">5.
