The study used a cross-sectional design to survey a sample of adolescents from two secondary schools in Ireland.<\/p>\n<p>Methods<\/p>\n<p>The study participants were from two secondary schools in Ireland. Some common muscle disorders include:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Myasthenia gravis:<\/strong> This is a condition that results in muscle weakness and difficulty breathing.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS):<\/strong> This is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that leads to muscle weakness and eventual paralysis.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Muscular dystrophy:<\/strong> This is a group of hereditary diseases that cause progressive muscle weakness and loss of muscle tissue.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tetanus:<\/strong> This is a rare, but potentially deadly, infection that causes muscle spasms and rigidity.<\/p>\n<p>If you are experiencing unexplained muscle weakness, difficulty breathing, or other unexplained symptoms, you should consult with your doctor.
