Radioactive elements are unstable and will eventually decay into a more stable element. In short, it was a result of years of searching by many astronomers.<\/p>\n<p>The first person to suggest that there might be another planet beyond Uranus was John Couch Adams, a British mathematician. In 1845, he calculated that there must be another planet, based on discrepancies he found in Uranus&#8217; orbit. However, he never actually saw Neptune, and it wasn&#8217;t until 1846 that anyone else did.<\/p>\n<p>That year, Johann Gottfried Galle, a German astronomer, found Neptune using mathematical predictions made by Urbain Le Verrier, a French astronomer. Hassium is a silver-white metal that is very brittle and has a low melting point. It is not used in any practical applications.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Isotopes\"><\/span>Isotopes<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>There are three naturally occurring isotopes of iodine: I-127, I-129, and I-131.
