We will also use 0.1 M solutions of sodium acetate (CH3COO\u00afNa+), ammonium chloride (NH4Cl), and sodium chloride (NaCl) as our common ions.<\/p>\n<p>We will start by measuring the pH of each of the solutions. We will then add a small amount of sodium acetate to the acetic acid solution and observe the pH change. We will then add a small amount of ammonium chloride to the ammonia solution and observe the pH change.<\/p>\n<p>We will then repeat the same procedure with the sodium chloride solution.
