It is a colorless, flammable liquid with a sweet odor. Benzene is mainly used as an intermediate in the production of chemicals such as plastics and pesticides.<\/p>\n<p>Benzene has a structure that consists of a ring of six carbon atoms with one hydrogen atom attached to each carbon atom. The carbon atoms are connected to each other by single covalent bonds.
