It is normally given as;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>dm = \u03c1 dV<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To get dm we have to calculate dv first. It is given as;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>dV = dA L<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In the meantime, dA is the area of the big ring (radius: r + dr) minus the smaller ring (radius: r).
