{"id":28105,"date":"2022-01-14T18:41:53","date_gmt":"2022-01-14T13:11:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/infinitylearn.com\/surge\/?p=28105"},"modified":"2023-12-29T14:40:57","modified_gmt":"2023-12-29T09:10:57","slug":"practical-geometry-class-6-notes-maths-chapter-14","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/infinitylearn.com\/surge\/study-materials\/practical-geometry\/class-6-notes-maths\/chapter-14\/","title":{"rendered":"Practical Geometry Class 6 Notes Maths Chapter 14"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>Practical Geometry Class 6 Notes Maths Chapter 14<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>We use the following tools in drawing geometrical shapes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A graduated ruler<\/li>\n<li>The compasses<\/li>\n<li>The divider<\/li>\n<li>Set-squares, and<\/li>\n<li>The protractor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In this chapter, we shall consider only \u201cRuler-and-compass constructions\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Circle<\/strong><br \/>\nEvery point on the boundary of a circle is at an equal distance from its center.<\/p>\n<p>Construction of a circle when the length of its radius is known<br \/>\nWe need to use compasses here.<\/p>\n<p>A Line Segment<br \/>\nWe need a ruler here.<\/p>\n<p>Construction of a line segment of a given length<br \/>\nWe have to use a ruler for this construction.<\/p>\n<p>Constructing a copy of a given line segment<br \/>\nWe may use a ruler or trace paper here.
