Taken &#8211; MCQs, Questions and Answers<\/h2>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>1. Where does the traveler find himself? What problem does he face?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Ans: The traveler finds himself standing at the fork of the road in a yellow wood. He needs to decide which road to choose, and he stands at the fork analyzing his dilemma.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>2. Discuss what these phrases mean to you:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>(i) A yellow wood<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Ans: Yellowwood represents the fall time in the woods. Fall is when trees drop their old leaves, which dry up and fall off. It&#8217;s like when people get older and start to lose their strength, getting ready for the next phase of life.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>(ii) It was grassy and wanted wear<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Ans: The content suggests that the road had lots of plants because not many people used it. The poet makes the road seem alive by saying it \u2018wanted wear.\u2019 This might mean the road wished people would walk or drive on it, but they didn&#8217;t.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>(iii) The passing there<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Ans: The term is used to talk about the less common path that visitors often don&#8217;t take. He called this path secondary because he wanted to check out the path with more plants.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>(iv) Leaves no step had trodden black<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Ans: The poet describes the path as untouched. When people walk on leaves, they usually turn black, but these didn&#8217;t. He took a morning walk, and no one had walked on either road. Fresh leaves covered the ground.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>(v) How way leads on to way<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Ans: The saying shows the poet wants to take both roads to find out where they go. But he finds out that taking one road leads to more choices, and soon he&#8217;s very far from the beginning. Every choice we make in life leads to new ones, shaping our own unique life path.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>3. Is there any difference between the two roads as the poet describes them<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>(i) In stanzas two and three?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Ans: In the second stanza, the poet talks about two different roads. One road was well-trodden and had fewer plants, while the other road had more plants and was less used.<\/p>\n<p>In the third stanza, the poet says that in the morning, both roads looked unused because no one had walked on them, and they were covered with autumn leaves.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>(ii) In the last two lines of the poem?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Ans: The poet picked the less popular road in the end. This choice led him on a unique journey, unlike the one he&#8217;d have taken on the other road.
