Quit India Movement<\/a>\u201d. On 8 August 1942, the Quit India Movement Resolution passed at the Bombay Session of Congress by Mahatma Gandhi. The resolution passed during the time of World War II. The Resolution officially announced that India needs immediate freedom from British rule and it\u2019s the necessity for the sake of India.<\/p>\nThe leaders called for the withdrawal of British power from India. Countries like the United Nations were fighting against the end of the supremacy of fascist nations during World War II. The same way freedom fighters said that India under the fascist Britain rule and its ending required. They said that once India will be free from Britain, India will join the War with its all possible resources.<\/p>\n
After the Resolution passed, Gandhi said \u201cThere is a mantra, a short one that I give you. You imprint it in your heart and let every breath of yours give an expression to it. The mantra is do or die. We shall either be free or die in the attempt\u201d.<\/p>\n
In the morning of the 9th August 1942, most of the leaders of the congress arrested. Various processions and protests carried out in different parts of the country. People attacked the government party. Lathi Charges and arrests were going all over the nation during the movement.
