Each multiple-choice question carries a maximum of 3 marks.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Negative Marking for MCQs- <\/strong>In the case of incorrect answers to multiple-choice questions, candidates are penalized with negative marks. For each incorrect response, 1 mark is deducted from the total score.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Numerical-Answer Type Questions (NATs)- <\/strong>In numerical-answer type questions, candidates need to enter the numerical value of the answer using a virtual numeric keypad. There is no negative marking for numerical-answer type questions. Each correct response to a numerical-answer type question is awarded 3 marks.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Partial Marking: <\/strong>In some cases, if a candidate answers a multiple-choice question partially correctly, they may be awarded partial marks, as per the discretion of the examiners.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Total Marks: <\/strong>Each paper (Paper 1 and Paper 2) in JEE Advanced has a maximum total mark of 180.
