The CBSE Class 12th Result 2025 has been officially declared by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) today, May 13, 2025. After months of waiting, lakhs of students across India can now check their results online through multiple platforms including @cbse.gov.in, @results.cbse.nic.in, @results.digilocker.gov.in, and the UMANG app.

This year saw a wider reach of the exams. A total of 19,299 schools participated, up from 18,417 schools in 2024. The number of exam centres also increased from 7,126 in 2024 to 7,330 in 2025, indicating broader exam accessibility across the country.

Continuing the trend from previous years, girls have once again outshined boys in the CBSE Class 12 exams. Girls recorded a pass percentage of 91.64%, while boys had a pass rate of 85.70%. The performance gap between girls and boys stands at 5.94%.

Out of the total passed students:
This year, 1,29,095 students were placed in the compartment category, which makes up 7.63% of the total. This is a slight increase from last year’s 7.54% (1,22,170 students).
Now that the results are out, CBSE will soon open the window for compartment exam and verification of marks. Students who fail in one or more subjects will be allowed to appear for the CBSE Class 12 Supplementary Exams 2025.
