PH of strong acids and strong bases
Question

The pH of a solution is 3.602. Its H+ ion concentration is

Easy
Solution

Let the [H+] be,   a x 10-b

Then PH = b - log a = 3.60

⇒ b - log a= 3.60 = 4 - 0.398

  b = 4

 log a = 0.398

log 2.5 = 0.398

 [H+] = 2.5 x10-4
