Detailed Solution

ADH is secreted in response to increased osmolarity of the body fluids which is detected by the osmoreceptors of the hypothalamus. ADH promotes facultative reabsorption of water in the DCT and CD. This leads to increased osmolarity of the urine and decreased osmolarity of the body fluids. ADH (vasopressin) increases blood pressure by causing vasoconstriction.
