Question

In a hypothermic patient whose body temperature is 34°C,

Difficult
Solution

The normal body temperature in human beings is  370 C. Lower temperature favours the formation of oxyhaemoglobin and shifts the oxygen dissociation curve to the left. At lower temperatures, the metabolic rate would be low. Peripheral blood vessels constrict (not dilate) to avoid heat loss.
