However, it’s important to note that they must present the OBC-NCL certificate issued on or after January 1, 2024, during the seat allotment process.
In each course, 15% of the seats are reserved for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Tribes (ST) or Scheduled Castes (SC) categories. To benefit from this reservation, ST or SC candidates must provide their caste certificate during the registration process.
Importantly, there is no option for these candidates to submit a declaration form in lieu of the certificate. If they fail to upload the required certificate during registration, they will be considered as open category candidates, and their reservation will not apply.
However, SC/ST candidates are still required to present their caste or tribe certificate during the certificate verification process before seat allocation. Failure to produce the SC/ST category certificate at this stage will result in disqualification or the cancellation of the seat allocated to them.

A 5% reservation of total seats is set aside for candidates with disabilities (PwD) in various categories. To be eligible for this reservation, candidates must have a disability of 40% or more. To avail of this reservation, candidates must provide a disability certificate and upload it during the online application process for the JEE exam.
