Every year, the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and other top engineering and science universities in the country hold the highly competitive Joint Entrance Examination – Advanced (JEE Advanced). Multiple processes are involved in the JEE Advanced 2025 admissions process: application, registration, exam, and result announcement, and counselling. The complete JEE Advanced Exam 2025 Admission Process is given below.
Step 1: JEE Advanced Exam Registration
JEE Advanced 2025 registration period will open on April 21, 2025 and run till April 30, 2025. Online registration is available for candidates at jeeadv.ac.in, the official JEE Advanced website.
Step 2: JEE Advanced Exam Application Form
Applicants must complete an online application form as part of the registration procedure. Personal and academic information, such as grades from Class 10 and Class 12 exams, category certificates (if applicable), and PwD certificates (if applicable), will be requested on the application form.
Step 3: JEE Advanced Application Fee Payment
Applicants must pay an application fee of ₹1500 for SC/ST/PwD and ₹3000 for General/OBC applicants. Online payment options include e-challan, credit card, debit card, and net banking.
Step 4: Upload Document
In scanned copy, the following documents must be uploaded by candidates: Class 10 and Class 12 grades, JEE Main rank card, category and PwD certificates, if applicable, and a passport-size photo.
Step 5: Download the JEE Advanced Exam Admit Card
The official JEE Advanced website, jeeadv.ac.in, will provide the JEE Advanced 2025 Admit Card for download from May 17, 2025, to May 26, 2025. To take the exam, candidates must download and print their admit card.
Step 6: JEE Advanced Exam
JEE Advanced 2025 exam will be conducted on Sunday, May 26, 2025. It consists of two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2.
Step 7: Declaration of JEE Advanced Exam Results
On June 9, 2025, the official JEE Advanced website will announce the JEE Advanced 2025 result. Candidates must submit their date of birth and registration number to view their results.
Step 8: Counseling with JoSAA
Counselling will be available to candidates who meet the requirements for JEE Advanced 2025 through the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). A unified counselling process called JoSAA is used for admission to member universities, including the IITs.
Candidates are required to download their JEE Advanced 2025 admit card through their designated login portal. The application portal for JEE Advanced 2025 has opened and will remain accessible until May 7. Admit cards can be downloaded from Friday, May 17, 2025, at 10:00 AM, until Sunday, May 26, 2025, at 2:30 PM.
The admit card also designates the allocated test centre. On the examination day, candidates must have a printed copy of the admit card along with a valid original photo identity card such as an Aadhaar card, school/college/institute ID, driver’s license, voter ID, passport, PAN card, or a notarized certificate with a photograph.
The examination hall permits only candidates with valid admit cards and recognized photo identity cards, with permissible items limited to pens, pencils, transparent water bottles, and the above documents.
JEE Advanced 2025 exam Tentatitve date is May 26th. IIT Kanpur will be administering the JEE Advanced 2024 exam.
A candidate can attempt JEE Advanced exam maximum of two times in 2 consecutive years.
