Halophyte is the group of plants characterized by pneumatophores and vivipary. As halophytes grow in swampy areas, for root respiration, many roots come out of the ground and grow vertically upwards. Vivipary is the germination of seeds within fruit so plantlet come out of plant and fall in swamp. Seed can’t germinate in such salty conditions.
