Question

Which of the following reactions increases production of dihydrogen from synthesis gas?

Easy
Solution

Cs+H2O 4000cCOg+H2g Coal gasification

\boxed{CO(g) + H2O(g)\xrightarrow[{Cr/F{e_2}{O_3}\;{{400}^o}C}]{{FeCr{O_4}}}C{O_{2(g)}} + {H_{2(g)}}}\

The production of H2 can be increased by reacting "CO" of syngas mixture with steam in the presence of catalyst. This is called water gas shift reaction.3rd reaction increases production of dihydrogen from syngas (or) synthesis gas.
