When the rms speed of molecule becomes ,V_escape=11.2km/s, the molecules escape from earth: therefore,
$V_{r m s}$ = V_escape
$V_{r m s}$ ₌ $\sqrt{\frac{3 RT}{M}} = 11.2 x 10^{3} km / s$
M for Oxygen =32 g/mol =0.032 kg/ mol.
$\Rightarrow \sqrt{\frac{3 x 8.3 xT}{0.032}} = 11.2 x 10^{3} \Rightarrow T = \frac{{(11.2 x 10^{3})}^{2} x 0.032}{3 x 8.3} = 1.61 x 10^{5} K$
