The General Knowledge International Olympiad is a competition hosted by the Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF). The IGKO is conducted to test the proficiency of students in General Knowledge and their awareness of current affairs. Students participating in IGKO can assess the understanding of the subject and whether they are capable of standing among their age groups. The International General Knowledge Olympiad also offers rewards to the achievers. So, the students having interest in General Knowledge can go through this article. The International Olympiad tests are the tests which are subject centered. The tests are organized at a bigger stage and are spread over the nations of the world. The olympiads are organized in different subjects. These are- International Maths Olympiad (IMO), International Science Olympiad (ISO), International English Olympiad (IEO), International General Knowledge Olympiad (IGKO). Students can participate in any of the Olympiad in which subject they have the most interest or they also have an option to participate in multiple Olympiads also.
The International General Knowledge Olympiad is held in the middle of the year. The IGKO has been conducted online since 2020 due to the pandemic. The test will further be conducted in online mode only till the further notifications. There are two levels of IGKO as discussed below:
IGKO Level 1: The International General Knowledge Olympiad is for the students of classes 1st to 12th. Duration of the test is 60 minutes. For classes 1st to 4th, there are a total of 35 MCQs and for classes 5th to 12th, there are 50 MCQs.
IEO Level 2: The second level of the International General Knowledge Olympiad is conducted for the students of classes 3rd to 12th. The following students are eligible to appear in level 2 Olympiad

The International General Knowledge Olympiad (IGKO) is conducted by the Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) for students from Class 1 to 10. The aim is to assess students’ general awareness, reasoning ability, life skills, and understanding of current events beyond the classroom curriculum.
