The Iranian monarch, Nadir Shah, attacked and looted Delhi during a political and economic crisis. He defrauded people of large sums of money. Following that, Afgan King Ahmad Shah Abdali conducted multiple looting raids. He conducted five invasions into north India between 1748 and 1761.
