The given expression is  q2-10q+21 . It can be factorised using the identity, x2+(a+b)x+ab

Here, a+b=-10 and a×b=21

Therefore, we can say that a=-3 and b=-7.

So, q2-10q+21=q2-3q-7q+21

                                   =q(q-3)-7(q-3)

[by taking out common (q-3) ]

                                   =(q-3) (q-7)

Hence, (q-3) and (q-7) are the factors of q2-10q+21.
