The physical displacement of animals from one location to another is referred to as animal movement. 

Walking and crawling are two of the most common modes of movement for terrestrial living organisms, but they are far from the only ones. Running, jumping, hopping, slithering, and even flying are examples of terrestrial movement (in the case of some insects). 

An organism's movement is determined by a variety of factors, including its body structure, size, habitat, and lifestyle. Quadrupedal animals, such as horses, dogs, and cats, typically move by walking or running, whereas snakes and lizards move by crawling or slithering. 

Flying creatures, such as birds and bats, move through the air by flapping their wings.
