Detailed Solution

Rabi and Kharif seasons are the two main cropping seasons of India.
Rabi crops are planted from October to December and harvested from April to June. Wheat, barley, peas, gram, and mustard are among the Rabi crops. Though these crops are farmed throughout India, states such as Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand, and Uttar Pradesh are essential for wheat and other rabi crop production. Kharif crops are planted throughout the country as the monsoon season begins and harvests in September and October. This season's crops include paddy, maize, jawar, bajra, tur (arhar), moong, urad, cotton, jute, groundnut, and soybean.
