Consumers are generally exploited by sellers and manufacturers through various malpractices. Some of the malpractices are sellers selling products at higher prices; adulteration in food products; sub-standard products in which the quality is far below the required standard; indulging in unfair trade practices by weighing the product less than required; or creating artificial scarcity through hoarding and black marketing. Many industries also create false and misleading advertisements which do not provide the right service which is claimed, such as fairness creams claiming to get fair within a specified period or oils claiming to remove baldness. These are only exaggerated. The main reason for malpractices is the ignorance of consumers.
